Families are welcome at The Marlene, though the experience is typically best enjoyed by adults and older children. Our intimate setting, antique interiors, and bar-centered common spaces mean the property is not especially tailored to very young children. Please call for further details or specific questions.

Yes. Each morning we serve a French-style breakfast featuring quiche, fresh baked pastries, yogurt, fruit, and coffee or tea. Breakfast is available in the Main House for all registered guests to enjoy at their leisure from 8:00-10:00am.

While we do not have a full restaurant on-site, we offer a curated selection of light bites including cheese boards, dips, and seasonal snacks.

Yes! The Marlene is available for private gatherings including engagement parties, cocktail hours, birthday celebrations, and many other celebratory occasions. Please refer to our events page for more information.

Yes. We welcome well-behaved dogs (up to 50 lbs, max 2 per room) with advance notice. Pets are allowed only in our Carriage House and Cottage rooms, but not in the Main House bedrooms. Pets may not enter the Main House or common areas, and must remain leashed at all times when outside of guest rooms. A $150 non-refundable cleaning fee applies, and guests are responsible for any damages. Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are always welcome.

We offer photography sessions in our common areas and gardens on Monday–Wednesday between 10 a.m. and noon at a rate of $250/hour. To preserve the comfort of our overnight guests, photoshoots must not disturb anyone on property. Flash photography is not permitted in spaces where guests are present, and crews are limited to 2 people.
Please note that larger productions, styled shoots, or content creation may require an event rental and does not fall under this hourly rate.

At this time, we do not host weddings on property but we would be thrilled to help you host an event leading up to your big day such as an engagement party, bridal party gathering, or welcome party! Please email events@themarlene.com for more information.

Yes. The Marlene offers ramp access to the Main House so all guests may enjoy our common areas. For overnight stays, the Julie Room in the Carriage House is ADA accessible. This guest room features a gently sloped ramp entry, widened doorways, accessible bathroom with grab bars, and a roll-in shower.
